At Scallywag’s Fish Bowl, all sales are final—but we’re committed to making things right if your order arrives damaged, defective, or, in the case of live animals, doesn’t make the journey.


Damaged or Defective Merchandise (Apparel, Mugs, Stickers, etc.)

We accept returns for damaged or defective items only. You have 30 days from the delivery date to contact us and request a return.

To be eligible:

  • The item must be unworn/unused, in its original packaging, and include a receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, email us at hello@scallywagsfishbowl.com with a description and photo of the issue. If your return is approved, we’ll send instructions and a return shipping label (shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility).

Note: Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.


Live Fish, Invertebrates & Plants

All live animals and plants are final sale, but they are covered under our Arrive Alive Guarantee.

If your livestock arrives DOA (dead on arrival), contact us at hello@scallywagsfishbowl.com within 1 hour of delivery with:

  • A clear photo of the animal in the unopened bag

  • Your order number

If the claim is approved, we’ll refund the purchase price of the animal. Unfortunately, shipping fees are non-refundable.


Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns on the following:

  • Handmade tufted rugs

  • Gift cards

  • Sale items


European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your item is being shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of delivery for any reason. Items must be unworn, unused, in their original packaging, and include proof of purchase.


Refunds

We’ll notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund is approved. If so, it will be automatically issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card provider may take additional time to process the refund.
