Amazon Frogbit is a floating plant with coin-shaped leaves and flowing roots.  This is an easy to grow aquarium plant which makes it ideal for beginners or low-tech tanks.

Frogbit provides cover to low light plants below it.  The roots are a favorite spot for shrimp who can pick through them for a meal.  Frogbit is also a favorite spawning site for some nano species such as rice fish.
